What it took for Fabbity Fab to become Fabbity Fab. (:
Behind the Name
Fabbity Fab is not something you hear everyday. It actually stems from the fabbity-fab-fab phrase,
fabbity-fab-fab. This delectable combination of words was first found in an awesome series known to fans as
The Confessions
of Georgia Nicholson, written by amazingly hilarious
Louise Rennison. The series is Georgia's diary, all about her crazy and wacky life
that makes us LOL - and maybe ROFL too! :D See the fabbity-fab-ness yourself in the first book:
Angus, Thongs, and Full Frontal Snogging.
Fab History
Before I was a website designer, I was a graphics designer. I started making graphics at the peak of my
Neopets obsession. I was part of a guild called
Rich Faeries, and I made a few guild layouts (normal-sized: in paint! EWWWW) before the guild closed. I then opened my own guild,
NeoNuts,
whose formal name was
Neopia's Greatest Nuts. All my active friends from Rich Faeries moved to NeoNuts, which I also made Guild Layouts for
(only using MS Paint, once again. EW.).
NeoNuts died, however, and soon I was looking for a new guild. I found
Magical Hogwarts, owned by the awesome
Stella, better known
as
tambra141. (She owned polyjuice-potion.makes.it; sadly, it died). I joined. It was at MH (Magical Hogwarts) my graphics making skills flourished.
I learned I had Photoshop 4.0 - and I utilized it. I would like to say it wasn't long, but it was actually VERY long before I learned how to blend using Photoshop 4.
Eventually I even discovered a neater way to blend, which I use today with Photoshop 7. I even created a Harry Potter graphics site,
Protego
(protego.makes.it), which is now er.. pretty dead.
Magical Hogwarts died too. :( I joined a guild created by one of MH's former members, called Accio Potere (but I wasn't very active). While in AP, I created FabbityFab.
From September to October I worked hard on improving my CSS. I had decided to make FabbityFab after I saw
Shattered-Daisy, owned by
Chloe. Chloe co-owns
Witch Weekly, which was Protego's affiliate. I saw Shattered-Daisy and
right on the spot I started making FabbityFab.
Syiekatsuya asked if I wanted to be hosted on
April 11. I did, so through a long series of e-mails
we finalized all the info and such. FabbityFab.Co.Nr became lily.unspoken-love.com on
May 02. I went under a revamp from about late September/early
October until late mid-October, in which I got rid of all of my old graphics and files and started anew. So here I am. FabbityFab isn't perfect, but I'm constantly working
on improving CSS
and graphics. Enjoy!
